Northeast Auctions

The largest web project I have completed to date, Northeast Auctions’ new site is based on the WordPress platform with WooCommerce as the backend of the online auction catalog. The Adamos theme served as a great starting point for the overall site layout, look and feel. ¬†Although the online bidform feature is currently disabled pending further testing and implementation of the backend, the e-commerce capability of WooCommerce was modified heavily in order to allow site users to submit bids online to be executed at the auction. With nearly 15,000 items, and average hundreds of visitors, and tens of thousands of page views a day, the architecture of the site also needs to be robust and optimized for efficiency. The plugin WordFence is used both for security and to provide caching that greatly improves site performance. In addition, Query Monitor and P3 (Plugin Performance Profiler), allow me to monitor site performance and troubleshoot potential problems.
